clickAs we travel the country in our motorhome, we will be visiting many Fairs. Most of them will be State Fairs. See why some people don't go to State Fairs. The first stop on our Fair trip is the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines, Iowa from August 10th through the 20th, 2000. Check out what we saw.
The next stop is Lincoln, Nebraska for the Nebraska State Fair. The dates for that Fair are August 25 - Sept. 5. While in Lincoln, I went to the Visitors Information office and asked where the best cheeseburger was. Check out where they sent me. On the trip from Lincoln to Nashville, Mykey got hold of the camera. If you like flat lands, farms, and rivers, (and feet!!!) take a look at these photos. Here's our look at the Tennessee State Fair in Nashville. We were going to go to our place in the Georgia mountains to relax for a couple weeks, but couldn't pass up some time in Monroe, Louisiana instead. (Yes there is a Fair there.) Here is our version of the Mississippi State Fair in Jackson, MS. Well, it's finally over. Our last stop was Jacksonville where we attended The Greater Jacksonville Fair along with doing a lot of visiting and site seeing. We actually also went to the
Alachua County Fair in Gainesville, FL but it was so small we never even
turned the camera on. :-)
Look at the
"Celebrity" that packed the stands in Bradenton.
Here are a few stats from the trip.
