We have a favorite saying when traveling in this state and it is "We ate our way through Louisiana." This trip was no different. I lean toward Cajun home cooking, but Mykey is hooked on catfish. We centered our eating around catfish and Mykey has come up with her "favorite places." We did eat at one Chinese restaurant. When we get to a new town, the first thing we do is visit the visitor center. We met the nicest bunch of girls at the Monroe center who hope to be in their new building soon. (HINT: Pick up a map for this town. It is not easy to find your way around.) Needless to say, we also spent lots of time at The ARK-LA-MISS Fair. We also spent some time at the Black Bayou Lake nature center. |
